Unhappy Need Tires

I have been running the re-11's on the track for over a year now, so trying to get a new set is not happening. Seems the Rear 285/35-19 is on back order every place I have checked.

So I am looking for an alternative. Talk to be people. I am looking for:

Front: 245/40-19
Rear: 285/35-19

Thanks,

C

Out west here, almost everyone uses RS-3's it seems. You can barely find anyone at our track days not running them. The few exceptions are PS3's(Biemer crowd), and some yokohamas and such in the Subie/Civic crowds. Of course some guys go 888, NT1, etc, but that's generally only if you are trailoring and have the brakes to back it up. Even a lot of the Time Attack guys stick with RS-3's for some reason.

They are my first set of track tires, and I basically bought what they told me and I can't really compare them to anything, but there is nothing they can not handle as far as I have seen on stock suspension and brakes. The more you slide the stickier they get. I believe they cost less than re-11's as well. A lot of guys joke and call them "cheater tires" because they list UTQG 200 now(up from 140).

Yea, looked at the RS-3's but not in my sizes. I cannot go bigger then 285 because of GTA rules.
My buddy runs the RS3's, but he is running 18" wheels an is trailer his car. I am in the process of getting dedicated track wheels with R888's, but wont have them till the November track day.

I really just need something for the Oct Z Nats track day coming up..

RS3s run wide, so just run the 275/35/18 in back. the 285 RS3s i have on my 10.5 inch wheels are not stretched at all. Rs3 comes in 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 for sure

Agree, go with the square setup. I'm running RE-11's at 275/30-19 all corners. Night and day difference coming from stock/your desired setup.

Just ran a 275 square setup (r888s) on my first track day ever and it was unbelievable. Turn in was good and didnt need any wider than 275 in the rear with the better compound.

Anyone have any feedback on the RE-11A's? How are they compared to RE-11 and RS-3? I don't know anyone that has bought them yet.
