I think connecting hoses 1 and 2 should do the trick. This should shortcut the rrp and the intank tank altogether. Problem is to find some plug to be able

I got it running, but if I connect the tank at top to seal and stop the rrp from flopping the hose kinks. I just cut 1 and attached to 2 nipple. I will go get the union and cut 2.

A 3/8 to 3/8 hose union would connect them (cut off the quick connectors, they are cheap and can be replaced later). |

Pulled all the bolts/nuts from the top off the RRP and used fuel friendly RTV on all of them. That stuff makes a mess, but seems to have done the trick.
Had a thin film of gas on top of the RRP cover. Passenger side was fine. Should be mandatory as part of install. |

Long day.
I checked the V at the tank side, but could not check the pump itself. It is possible it was the connector. I will check that tomorrow I did get on Sears Point in the afternoon. |

Thanks Coyote and Phunk. Very busy weekend. I finally checked the pump this morning and it is bad. Put it directly to the battery and nothing. For once it wasn't my wiring.
Phunk - is the pump under warranty? On a separate note, my brake light fuse blew. I don't know how. It led to the loss of ABS and with old Toyo R888's I kissed the wall in the turn 11 hairpin. It's over 100mph to about 25. The corner worker was impressed I could drive away. Two earlier in the day did not. I only have a little paint loss in both front and rear fenders. The rear might even rub out. I replaced the fuse with a 15amp instead of 10. Crossed fingers. |

The Walbro pumps do have a manufacturer warranty but they are a bit of a hassle to deal with... They actually charge a deposit to test the pump, and refund it later. Yours is a newer install right, I believe you even mentioned to me the pump is louder than expected? I would just assume send off a pump to you and handle the warranty on my end so you don't have to wait around.

Thanks Phunk. Other than this trip of 1000mi, the pump had less than 200mi on it. I will deal with this next week when I get home after running Miller in Tooele - again crossed fingers.

Sorry about that. I have sold hundreds of that part number pump (its the same one used in our twin pumps) but this would be maybe the second or third I have seen bad, and possibly the first to fail almost immediately. This is why I wasnt too worried when you mentioned it seemed loud to you; much like a doctor is to their patients, I am partially desensitized to people telling me a pump is loud because years of selling has me adapted to it usually not meaning anything is wrong.
