Thanks for the input guys, looks like squared is the consensus. I was going to buy the Nismo rims since they are light and good looking.

A few weeks late to the party, but I wrote up my own letter supporting the 370 in STU.

Thank you, especially coming from the 2015 STU national champ! Haha I posted this on the Z track group on FB and a 350z guy got so butt-hurt over it. He said he would promptly write a letter in return countering the move. I think it's fair though.

IMHO if they can lump multiple generations of pony cars into the same class why can't the 350z and 370z get lumped together.

agreed! I don't know when the decision will be made but I want this to keep getting pushed so I can be closer to a competitive car in the right class. ASP is a bit too much for me considering I have no way to get slicks to an event and don't see myself getting a trailer/hitch anytime soon (or until I buy a house this year). I would be glad to just purchase some 285 RE71's, throw them on my square rear Ray's setup and compete in STU. The car is mostly built for the class now anyways. I'd have to do minor things to back track into a street touring class.

I wouldn't plan on driving any real distance on the new batch of "200" TW wink, wink, tires.
They wear ~ twice as fast as real 200 TW tires. Last edited by Z1NONLY; 07-07-2016 at 07:29 AM. |

Is it any worse than driving around on R888 or NT01'something? Lol cause that's what I'm reduced to right now. My front nt01 are finished with tomorrow's autox and I have a set of slightly used direzza zIIs to drive on for a while.

Racing all alone in B Street at the Wilmington champ tour this weekend. I think there's one other 370 here in ASP, gomer_110?
Today (Friday) was the test and tune. I got one run in the dry and then they delayed for lightning. Later got several runs in the rain. The challenge will be if it starts raining, or if rain starts clearing when we run. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

As much as it can be legally without high dollar shocks. Konis, hotchkis front bar, re71s, downsized wheels with +7mm offset, cat back exhaust, k&n drop in filters. The course is going to favor the vettes. Lots of long straights starting in the low rpm range. Possibly 3rd gear several places. Someone measured it to be about .9+ miles. I'll see what I can do. I still have a ways to go. I plan on getting a set of ast so that I can expand the system if the car gets moved to stu. What are your thoughts on the Hotchkiss bar? I ran it at a few events and hated it but I'm not so sure I want to drop down to the Eibach. |
