EazyD's first clean AutoX lap

It was at Devens Airfield in Ayer, MA. NER SCCA

Now that I look at it, I could have pushed it a bit more, maybe even downshifting to 1st some times... it was my first day of racing ever and was thinking too much about the course and what side of cones to be on, etc.

Any comments are welcome!

Not bad but try not to coast so much. Stay in the throttle right to the point when you need to brake. There were a lot of points where you jumped on the throttle coming out of an element then immediately lifted then got back on the gas. Everyone of the those times you could have gotten away without lifting.

By the way... how much wear & tear does AutoX do on the 370Z? How many events could I do without being worried about permanent damage? I am scared to even do a second event..

My stock brake pads has about 85% meat on it. Car has 14K miles with 65 autox events on it. The only thing I broke was my gas tank. I also used two sets of tires almost

The car is pretty stout, I don't think you will break anything on street tires (except maybe the stupid fuel gauge).

Biggest issue with auto-x is removing the cone marks from a white car.

Yup - I definitely have a good one on my right front bumper. The wall-o-cones before the finish haha

Rain X works if you need something quick.

I have so much scratches and cones marks that some have become permanent

Yeah I used rain-x, works but don't rub too hard for too long or it will take the clear coat and paint off as well. Clay bar just won't cut it for the harder hits. Orbital buffer will quickly remove any shadow's that remain.
