I don't know about stock Z's being faster than stock LS1's. I know there are factory freaks from every brand but generally 6 speed ls1's put down 305-320rwhp bone stock. My last 2000 SS was 100% stock when I bought it with 70k miles and I put down 307/331. A set of headers (longtubes), cat-back, and intake and it put down 355/360 on 2 different dyno's a few months apart. The Z's are impressive, but stock for stock it's not what you think.
