Need some help for a Z vs 2000 Camaro showdown

Even a Fbody with susp work will have a hard time lauching. And if you lauch any 4th gen Fbody on a stock rear very very hard its going to blow. Stock chevy 10 bolts SUCK.


V8killer. If you could get specs on the cam that would be awesome
lift, duration @ 0.05", and the LSA

stock specs are
0.467" / 0.479" int/exh Lift
197/207 Duration
116 LSA

If its a baby cam itll be around .520-.530 lift, 220-230 duration and prob 114 LSA Prob good for like 40-50ish whp depending on a bunch of stuff. Itll also show me if hes making top end or bottom end power. you can put around .600" of lift in the motor stock. wouldnt be an advantage bc you prob wouldnt be able to flow that much on stock heads

You obviously know a little about LSX stuff, but you're not giving credit to the heads that are on the car stock. It's a baby cam and my torque curve is as flat as a pancake. My car peaks at 6400rpms and doesn't fall off; we shut it down at 6900 on the dyno and it was still pulling. Oh, and Ryan; you called my old SS weaksauce in your first post? That car DRUG you on the highway and ran faster at the track.

Im more of an LT1 guy. built a mild .060 over motor for my old 95 firebird. never dynoed but it was a ~350whp car w a stock cam and no tune (never got to finish the build )

I most def do give credit to the heads. Just with .600" of lift you have to have a way to get it in and get it out. So youd have to have an intake and headers, at the very least, to move the air. I never got all the mods from the OP so it was more of a general statment. If your building a small block, LSX is hands down the way to go. i miss the tq of a v8 sounds like you have a very fun set up! good luck to you both!!

I don't have any flattering pics because I hate the black C6 wheels that came with the car when I got it so here's a couple of vids, lol. The first is just an idle vid with the Corsa and my baby-cam. The second and third are a couple of quick highway pulls before I had Mayhem tune it; it pulls harder and smoother now.

I was wondering how long it would be for you guys to show up on my forum. Yes josh I still think you old camaro was weak sauce hell you even said it yourself time to time. On the highway you were not driving it jamie was. Also I've learned a lot about my car and not having an oil cooler on it at the time how it can greatly affect performance. Yes it did run faster at the track but who has more seat time? I've only ever been twice in my life. We will see what happens good buddy.
