Mine certainly didn't reduce power though.

I have a 7at and brake fuse is still in. No issues with burn outs. You must also remember when at a track there "should" be water in the burnout box so you should be able to light em up. I hold my brake just to stop then full gas and zero brake (this should bypass your "fuse"issue). The tires spin instantly and you have enough time to spin em before you gotta let off and grab the brake again to stop before the staging box. I only do this when I know there is any debris build up on my tires from track prep spray that picks everything up lol I am only runnin street tires which really don't benefit from burn out besides shortening their lifespan.

Well massive rainfall had track shut down.

I don't know why but it just seems at my current power level my stock 18's just feel faster out of the hole. Maybe need a beefier set of tires for my 18's and they might do better than my 19's ?

Less weight very possible.

Feels like I posted this before. If you go from 18" wheels/tires to bigger 19" wheels tires, is like a gear change & hurts your acceleration. Going to 20" wheels/tires will really slow the car up. Common sense:confused:

Smaller wheel/tires with good traction will give you best acceleration. Unless of course you end up having to shift into an extra gear running the 1/4 mile. I don't think you'll have that problem.

Traction??? For god's sake, it's an automatic....

I have to pull the tail light fuse to be able to do a burnout.

Running 18's doesn't necessarily mean a smaller diameter tire. Mine are the same. It depends on what sidewall dimension you have.

My switch: The decrease in launch times comes from the increase in sidewall, which allows the tire to squat and increase surface area onto the pavement. If I could fit a tall 16" tire, so much better.

2012 base sport 7AT at full weight and with a near full tank of gas. Stock down to the tire except for my new addition of an Exotic Speed cat back exhaust. 13.301@107.37 on a 64 degree day.

2012 Base Sport 7AT. Only mod is an $800 ExoticSpeed cat back exhaust. This time I tried weight reduction. Removed the spare wheel and tire, jack and tools, child seat anchor bracket, front and rear tow hooks, and rear floor mat. That added up to 46.8 lbs. I now weigh 170 as I also put myself on a 5 day diet and lost 3 lbs. Both previous times I went with more than 3/4 tank of gas, this time I had less than 1/4 tank. Did a 13.066@108.23 and a 13.078@109.32 on a 54 degree day. I drove a 2014 Corvette on Friday that felt alot faster than my car. But in the November issue of Car & Driver it said the new Vette does the 1/4 in 12.5@116 so my Z is only a half second slower for half the price.

Honestly, I'm pretty impressed.

Have you thought about helium balloons attached to your car? Maybe 50-60 really big ones? You could really lighten your load and maybe run mid 12s. Don't put them all in the back or you'll never get it to hook-up.

Target has Hello Kitty mylar balloons on sale; would be a nice accent going down the track. Nutin says MEEEEEOOOOW!!! like Hello Kitty balloons.

That is really impressive! Very few people drag race here. So do your own thing.

Want to do 12.5's??? Should be easy....
Test pipes, an up-rev tune, drag radials to get your 60' to 1.8. & gears. Not sure what # gears because it's an automatic. There's a drag racer on the 370z 1/4 list that has an automatic. The gear numbers have to be perfect(a must) & work well with your rear drag radial's size. Check with him! Also remove your pass seat when racing:)

That's all you need to do 12.5's. REALLY! Perfect gear selection a must!
