I like the wing, i could guess it steals one tenth off the quarter. I know it makes some drag, but how much would be hard to say without some wind tunnel testing.

The best day for the track is saturday,
Will be going to Toronto Motor Sports Park.
Temp will be a high of 43 degress with low humidity.
Have been waiting all winter to see how the GTM built 7 AT will run at the strip.
Hoping for low 12.20 to 12.1's
still not to sure about the tune . set the A/F for 12.8 to 12.6 on 94 octane.
Will post times late Saturday night

Ventus V12 305's, but I plan on getting DRs for my 18s.

So it seems the shop didn't get my install finished this week due to a blown out side carrier seal?

I supplied the new differential side carrier seal that I purchased directly from Nissan.

Now they are waiting on Nissan to send a new seal. So that means no 1/4 for me this weekend.

Looks to be raining anyways here in Seattle. Seems we are in the same boat Z Elim.

I wonder if this seal blew out so easy what's to think the new one will hold for any given period of time?

Bummer. The 4.08's wait will be worth it. Since you're waiting, might as well order a set of Whiteline diff bushings if you have some extra cash.

And just a warning, 1st and most of 2nd gear will be useless on the street with most tires. I had 285/35/19 RE050A's for a little while, full throttle in 1st forget it. Even at the top of 2nd gear they would lose traction. Maybe in warm summer weather they would have a chance but otherwise forget it. They were a bit worn out, 75% tread but still very disappointing.

But with 285/35/19 RE-11's, now we're talking. They can hold all of first gear, no problem. They spin a little in 1st when they're cold but quickly warm up.

I have a good feeling my rears will need to be replaced if I want traction in 1st.

With my 4runner doing some of the miles, I only have 22k in 3.5 years so far on the Z. So I can get some sticky rubber and keep the miles low.

RE-11's sound about right :icon17: do they make them in a 305-315? My 19s are 11's in the rear, not sure how low I can go with them and keep a comfy sidewall.

Tryin to get some runs in today but this track is so backed up. Hour and a half no run yet.

GL!

Talking to my shop about the dif bushing install. They sounded hesitant at first but I sent an email to the g37 write up.

I'm thinking about placing the order now but it will have but be next or second day air to make a Tuesday install. --------------- Dif bushing order placed, next day air from Fontana.

FPenvy 04-06-2013 02:55 PM

Blah first run left lane not sticky at all. Opening day here so I guess I shouldn't expect too much. Trying right lane next to see if I hook up better.

Mr&Mrs 04-06-2013 02:56 PM

I have 305 Re-11's set me back about 430.00 each.

Looks like tire rack has the re-11 305/30's for $340 per. The ventus r-s3 305/30 are $447 per, R888's at $409 and my V12's coming in at a hefty $250 per haha.. such a good deal but just not enough stick.
