Nope, no rubbing. I think the way the fenders are and the stock wheels make it look much worse than it really was. If you look at the front bumper or other parts of the car, the body roll doesn't look as bad.

That sounds like a great set up. I am planning on buying those exact tires for the rear when the stockers go bald.

We'll see. I would have liked to do a small stagger, like a 265/285, but it was too hard to find good tires in those sizes for the track. I have plenty of room to adjust the suspension though to compensate for any small handling issues caused by running a non-staggered setup.

How much do they weigh? They sure look pretty but looks don't mean much on the track.
You weren't going to try 18's? I'm sure with enough width and the right offset you could clear the sport calipers.

Well I know a 19x9 F14 weighs 25 lbs. and a 19x11 weighs 26lbs. I am guessing that the 19x10 will weigh 25.5 lbs. A 275/35/19 Nitto Invo weighs 29 lbs. Assuming that a Nitto NT05 in the same size will weigh the same, my track setup should weigh the exact same as the stock sport package setup, but with the added benefit of a wider tire up front.

Truth be told, I really wanted to stay with 19s because of the look. The goal for this car is to be a fun car to take to the track, take to the car shows, and take to the grocery store. I am not building a full blown track car out of it. If you wanted to stay with 19s like I did, Forgestar offers the best choice when you factor in style, price, quality, and weight. Sure there are 18s out there that are lighter and better for performance, but I think Forgestar did pretty good on the weight considering the size and the style of the wheel. If I get to the point with the car where I really feel I need that extra competitve edge I will make the switch to 18s.

There are always Volks - you can lose weight and stay with 19s. Too bad about the price

I hear you. I guess I was just assuming you guys were going more towards a track dedicated car. 18's look Fugly with huge tires, but they sure do help cut down on unsprung weight. A good set of forged 19's gives a nice balance of looks and function. I'm excited to see the progression of your car.

I'm interested in the BC coilovers. I was a little put off by some of the comments about how customers had issues with these on their G's. Seems like DDM is quite happy with them, the quality looks fantastic, and they are competitively priced.

I wish I could make it a dedicated track car, but I learned my lesson with the 350Z. I won't be building another dedicated track car unless I have a much bigger budget . The 370Z is my daily driver so that is first priority for right now.

The problem with the first batch of G37 coilovers has been taken care of. They used to use metal pillowball mounts, which are better for performance, but they rattled on certain cars. Now they use rubber mounts for all applications and they don't make any noise.

Ah ok. That really isn't bad at all. They designed the coilover for better performance, but at the cost of increased NVH. Their customers weren't particularly happy about that, so they fixed it. That really isn't bad at all.

I was expecting something wrong with the quality or design of the coilovers.

Yeah, they used to do the rubber mounts on only luxury applications and assumed the G37 community would fall more into the performance catagory, but they all complained lol. Now they do rubber mounts for everything, but I believe you can still request metal ones if you wanted that little bit of performance.

I had spherical bearings on my Mustang. I really don't think the performance to annoyance ratio is worth it. However, it is good to know.

I think I see a set of these in the future
