At first I was like wait a minute.... but then I did some research and those GT500's are 12.9@113 mph cars. Source: Car and Driver.
Definitely believable with your mods to hang with him in the first few gears. I have a feeling though if you guys went on longer he would definitely pull hard up top, considering his very healthy advantage in trap speed.
