It happens when you run a DR without SFC's. Even a hard launch on good pavement and sticky street-tires will ripple the 1/4 panel. Look at a few LS1 F-bodies if you get a chance. Lots of them show it.

:shakes head:

I know the hardtop 3rd gen f-body's had the cracked roof issue on the hardtop models. After that you'd think GM would have learned (or cared?).

Question: Do you have multiple dents in rear quarter panel?

I've road tested a stock coupe with the auto stick. I was trying to buy a dealer installed SC 680 hp vert but the banks wouldn't go for it. Not that I lost out. Anyway, the autostick coupe felt very slow compared to my 7at vert. Ofcourse handling wasn't even close to what I remember my Z being stock. I have not drag raced either but street feel isn't even close. :worship:

Feel is VERY subjective. I don't like it. My 1995 Trans Am felt way faster than my 2001 Trans Am. I did race LT1's in my LS1, and LS1's in my LT1. I can tell you that it just wasn't so.

I raced a 2011 Camaro SS down the Strip here in Vegas in my 7AT....wasnt a full 1/4 mile but it was a decent distance from stop light to stop light. there was never a gap between the Camaros rear bumper and my front bumper. We were pretty much neck and neck the entire time.....Driver of the camaro was mad as hell when we got to the next light...

I can say, a 370Z Sort rolling 60 up to 110, the Camaro SS with over 100 more HP will be at 115 or more.
