Manual Trans Oil Cooler

okay guys, changed the diff fluid and it was boiled. Now my question is, after the first day i noticed the smell, i did another 8 sessions the week after.

okay guys, changed the diff fluid and it was boiled. Now my question is, after the first day i noticed the smell, i did another 8 sessions the week after. did i possibly ruin the stock nismo diff using the redline 75w90 and running that mf? just put 140 weight as per specialty z

You didn't ruin it. It already sucked. LOL If it got low enough on oil to get a bearing, you would already know. It would be very noisey and whine like crazy. If you are not experiencing that, you are good to go for now. You need a diff cooler or it will happen again.

haha gotcha, thank you for the heads up and the info. ive been planning on a 1.5 os giken. also been considering a quaife. going to do all bushings/brace/finned cover and cooler at the same time. just need to decide on which diff

Don't forget the Wavetrac. It is a nice diff also. You don't need a finned cover if you do the diff cooler.

haha great another in the mix. ive heard mixed things from e46 guys about the wavetrac.

i looked into changing the gearing but having a 2019 nismo dont I already have the 3.9?
