Bolt-on acceleration improvements

Not to be rude or anything, But isnt Acceleration= Force x mass? So if you change your Force(horsepower) or your Mass (weight) It will make a difference in your acceleration. simple physics.

Well, the correct equation is a=F/m. But I see where you're going with this. Obviously there should be some benefit to acceleration if you increase horsepower. However, my question was aimed more at quantifying this improvement. Car and Driver lists statistically significant improvements of 0-60 times at differences >=0.3s

oh ok, yes you are correct on the equation, i was just trying to make it simple. BUT i didnt know you ment statistics in that sense.. from your original post i thought you meant more in a quarter mile or top speed sense... but when you bring improvements at different increments in the power band or an increase in acceleration from say x to z speed then it makes more sense.. Like i said, I was trying to be rude I was simply stating what I thought to be true and obvious. thanks for clarifying that.. and it would be really cool to be able to see improvements in that way.
