Default Recommended autox tire size for sport rays

Hey guys and gals, I'm sure this has been asked before...i tried to do some searching and couldnt find any definitive answers so hopefully someone can help me out! I have an '11 with the sports package and i'm going to be mounting up some re71r's but im not sure what size to go with. I know the max you should put on the front and back for optimum traction is 275/285 but i cant seem to find a size combination that would keep the diameter difference less than 2%. Anyone have any recommendations, or should i just run a quasi square set up at 275/35 front and rear?

why 285? the max size for the fronts would be 275, so 285 would be pinched wouldnt it?

285 is wider, it helps the front turn in with the low camber, either one would work. I like the 285, it is pinched in a little, there's no problem with that

Right now, I went with 275/35 285/35 RE71 setup for autox and trackdays, but will not be able to give any feedback until next month. Also, didn't decide if I will put them on oem rays or my volks.

I would do 275 or 285 square Bridgestone RE71-R's. Either way I don't think you can go wrong. Like others have said, the 285's are a bit pinched up front but still work well.
