For me I guess it was nice to have driven on a crappy lsd for a while before I put in a good one so I could tell the difference. The coils/springs/suspension crap actually slowed me down for a good 6-7 months. The LSD I would think would be instant, no brainer time improvements for anyone.
Do you say that because you weren't sure how to set up the suspension or did you just need time to develop your skills and catch up to the car?

LSD is definitely on my list, but I think I'd want to keep the stock gearing on mine just because it's still a daily driver and probably will be until I can find a beater Miata to DD.

All the above lol.

Suspension ultimately allows you to learn more/do more, but there is the whole task of finding a ride rate you like, sway bar madness, setting the dampers, etc. There is also possibly a skillset problem that you will need to overcome-especially if you are not already an advanced level driver(which I am not). You are basically going to need to relearn your car for the next 6 months. Everything you got used to feeling in your oem setup is gone.

Compare that with a LSD, hell it would take 2-3 seconds off anyone's time probably within their next 2 track days. It's very obvious what it does, requires no skill, and is just mash the pedal goodness. It's a no brainer, car puts down more power and rear end doesn't slide around due to wheel slip, end of story.

Also IMO, if you are going to pay for the labor/install of installing a LSD for track use, just do the 4.08 gear upgrade at the same time. It's an extra 1100.00 yes, but there is no way you won't love it.

It will fail and shut off when you redline. It works for daily driving though as long as you don't hit the rev limiter. ECUTEK has the only fix that I know of. I don't use syncro rev on track though.
