I powdercoated my stock tow hook. I even use it to tied down the car on the trailer in the front.

yeah I would stay away from any cheap aluminum tow hooks, and get one in steel. There are some out there, like the Moonface/MCR and others but they cost $150+.

I used my OEM tow hook twice to get pulled up my hill in a snow storm. Worked like a champ!
