I wouldnt recommend it, but you should be able to swap the black caps (but not the valve part).

Just let all the air out of the tire and screw off the cap and screw the new one on. Just be careful the TPMS sensor doesnt fall into the wheel!

So, why wasn't I involved in the decision as to what color valve stem was going to be used on my $3500 setup? I was involved in every other aspect of my order but not this and as you can probably imagine, I'm not happy. These things are hideous! They stick out like a sore thumb and I can't believe you all would have used these when black ones were available, especially considering the black/carbon/silver Forgestar center cap, the black lugs I'm running, and the color of the wheel. Unbelievable.

It does stick out... but it also sticks out like the oil dip stick under the hood, which I painted black... maybe the caps could be painted too

Nope, not without un-mounting the tires which of course costs $$$. I didn't even see these in person until after they were on my car as I had them shipped directly to the dealer that put them on yesterday after putting my springs on. Had I seen them prior to that I would have held off on putting them on until some kind of resolution could have been found. We're dumping all kinds of cash into these cars, myself included, and I think we all can agree we just want it done right and to look good. When something like this happens it's just a huge pain in the *** to fix, costs us (the consumer) extra money that we shouldn't have to spend, and quite honestly - is completely unnecessary and could have been easily avoided.

Details are everything.

We actually just got the black/gunmetal valve stems in earlier this month, and you placed your order well before that I believe.
So I'm sorry if you werent notified about these being available.

It is an upgrade that costs $50, but we can have a free set shipped out to you this week. Please email me at Jason@getyourwheels.com with your shipping info and I'll have it sent out.

Hope this helps!
