Yes will wear off. I don't have the weights of these. I would say the weight the same as oem rotors.

Awesome, thanks Charles. I'm glad they coat the whole thing though, the set I have right now doesn't have a coating all the way out, so there is a half inch rust ring around the inside area between the hub and the pad contact area.
