We didn't shift gears. Wigan ran out of steam. I've never seen a defender as lazy as Scharner coming up from the clearance. Poldi could've camped next to Joel (the Wigan GK) and still been onside, by the looks of it. Ramsey's goal was ridiculous too, the GK gave the near post away. He could get the fourth if you stretch the definition of "assist" - I think he gave the pass to Ramsey, who ambled into the net without a care in the world, and nobody else touched the ball - but I think a hat trick of assists will suffice quite nicely, thank you.
