I was afraid to say this, but he was one of my favorite players on the team last year.

I liked Arshavin a lot, too; but, he's very inconsistent.

well...yeah, i typically don't get names on shirts unless they're already pretty well entrenched in the team. i don't mind my fabregas and RVP jerseys at all, and my favorite one is still my henry jersey.

but yeah most of the time now i just order plain lol

I think my next will be a Jack Wilshere, seems out of all on the team, he's got the most loyalty, plus he's a product of the youth system, kid bleeds Arsenal. BTW, lately we've been more and more heavily linked with Gotze, last time that happened with a particular player, we got him, i/e Gervy, Arsha...

fingers crossed.

phelan 12-01-2011 09:26 AM

what? nooo, u gotta get DEEEEENCH, aka frim-pongpongpongpongpong

cow 12-01-2011 03:44 PM

I'd wait to get Frimpong for another season to see if he'll get a "real" number or stay with 26.

(Although it's kind of neat having a jersey from a player before they were really entrenched.)

oh speaking of the Euro, mein Fraulein thinks group B will be a walk in the park (she hates dutch people btw), guess she doesnt realize just how nasty RvP is at the moment... shes also a Dortmund fan and scoffs at me every time I tell her that Gotze is going to Arsenal hahaha

Wigan game was full of lulz. Nice to see us winning comfortably for once.

Anybody see the Villa game? WHAT THE F*CK is wrong with that pitch???? Chicharito and Jenas were just running, nobody next to them, then BAM. On the floor, turned ankle.

Sloppy first 10-15 minutes was worrisome, but turned out how it should have.

phelan 12-06-2011 02:23 PM

szczesny must be going "OH MY GOD WHAT THE F*CK" right now.

wondering that myself...

phelan 12-06-2011 03:35 PM

*catalogues this game with the 'couldn't be arsed' list of games, right next to newcastle 4-4*

edit: LOL olympiakos still crash out b/c marseille pulled the dortmund game out of their arse!

Red370 12-06-2011 03:38 PM

Wengers mantra of experience with youth fails miserably, granted, it was our bench/reserves against their A squad, Djourou should never start on the side, Squillaci is a steamy pile, and there was no creativity in the midfield. Arsha is done for sure after this match, he was balls. I was a bit disappointed that ox didnt get on the scoresheet, he had no one in the middle to get cutting balls to him, its a shame really.

phelan 12-06-2011 03:45 PM

fair play to chamakh who actually tried. just failed. a lot.

Red370 12-06-2011 03:48 PM

And Dortmund are sent packing... Gotze will be at the Emirates soon, mark my words.

He needs to captain the reserves. Wouldnt mind picking up Sow in January to replace him.

phelan 12-06-2011 03:51 PM

curious to see how lille do tomorrow.

Red370 12-06-2011 03:56 PM

and I as well, cruel twist of fate for the greeks, credit to Marseille though, they put the boots to Dortmund and thats no easy feat.

hi-yah!

i call a UCL rigging event going on. how the f*ck does zagreb go from 1-0 up just handing out goals to lyon like gifts. ajax stunned and dumped out into the europa league. 7 goal turnaround...who would've thought it?

blue660r01 12-07-2011 03:47 PM

:rofl2: No Manchester teams in the next stage hahahahaha

phelan 12-07-2011 04:37 PM

I fancy Arsenal against any of the 2nd placed teams. Obvious bogey teams are Napoli and AC Milan. And I hope we don't draw CSKA Moscow b/c that's a sh*t long flight.

Only bad thing about that is they'll not have to contend with tough European competition and be able to focus on the league, they'll be alot fresher than us or Chelsea, but yeah, i'm pumped that Shitty and ManUre didnt make it through.

wtf was that guy thinking? they keep saying "oh he didnt realize he was in the box", I can understand if the ball was barely trickling past the 18 yard, but that ball was well into the box, I'm thinking he was just trying to be fancy and failed epicly. Hence why he's the number 4 keeper AFTER Almunia.
