France game sucked. Remy's goal was very well taken, but the whole game was boring.

bigsix 11-15-2011 05:03 AM

Thanks for the invite...

good to see V.Persie on fire...

Which of Wenger's new signings do you see getting really good as the season continues ?

phelan 11-15-2011 10:45 AM

International break

I actually don't care about ANY of the new signings. I care about RvP signing a damn contract extension!

My worst fears are coming true about the USA team - Klinsmann is nothing without a solid backup coach like Joachim Low. And did anybody else fall asleep trying to watch England / Spain? I thought my eyes were going to fall out.

phelan 11-15-2011 04:24 PM

...wow, costa rica are beating spain!

blue660r01 11-15-2011 10:02 PM

Sup Netherlands fans :D

phelan 11-15-2011 10:55 PM

no RvP = no holland

Red370 11-19-2011 01:27 PM

RvP cannot be stopped. That is all.

cow 11-19-2011 06:48 PM

I woke up early on my honeymoon to watch the AFC match. Thank god they won.

I'm encouraged by the team's going down, not having a great day, & still winning. These are the games they dropped in recent years.

phelan 11-20-2011 02:44 AM

their golf swing celebration is ridiculous.

Red370 11-20-2011 04:05 AM

I always said that if he could stay healthy for an entire season, he'd win the golden boot, dont get me wrong, its still a bit early to make predictions but at this rate, he'll score 25+

phelan 11-20-2011 10:40 AM

he's gonna score 40 in one calendar year at this rate. more than shearer and henry!

Red370 11-20-2011 12:09 PM

lets not jinx the guy, but fvck man, this guy is possessed, its like hes on a damn mission, I recently read an article where he exclaimed that his finishing needed work, wtf is this dude talking about, he's missed shots, but hes tucked away everything that he should have in recent memory.

cow 11-22-2011 10:00 AM

I randomly wore my Johan Cruyff jersey today, only to read this:

Ajax legend Johan Cruyff denies Edgar Davids racism allegations - ESPN Soccernet

Awesome....

phelan 11-22-2011 10:15 AM

i got a couple strange stares for wearing my fabregas jersey last weekend lol

6MT 11-22-2011 10:17 AM

I wore mine a few weeks ago. He still has my heart.

Nice! Take pictures while there.

& tell Michel Vorm to not roll the ball to a Newcastle player.

Very nice! I like watching Swansea. Sinclair had a horrible miss that could've drawn the Man Utd game...and gifted my fantasy team some badly needed points :p

Think Newcastle will still be able to shut up shop after getting blasted by Man City? Seemed like they finally gave, I'm worried they won't be able to recover.

I'm just excited to be going. My wife & I will be in the U.K. for X-Mas & New Years and we've never been to a Premier League match. I'm looking forward to also going to St. James stadium in Newcastle. It looks impressive.

Oh... and also to have a Newcastle Brown Ale!!

phelan 11-22-2011 11:23 AM

It's not St. James' Park anymore. It's SportsDirect Arena. F*CK YOU MIKE ASHLEY.

:rofl2:

Very cool though, have a good trip!

cow 11-22-2011 11:31 AM

It'll always be St. James' Park.

blue660r01 11-22-2011 07:19 PM

So Man City needs to beat Bayern to advance. Good luck with that one haha :icon17:

phelan 11-23-2011 01:25 AM

I'm actually torn on that one. I hate Man City, but at the same time having them in the UCL drains them in the Premier League...

cow 11-23-2011 09:21 AM

It'll be interesting to watch, no doubt.

(lol that's such a crap post by me)

Actually, it still is St. James Park. On their web-pages and when I spoke with their ticket office, they told me that it is still known as St. James Park. The stadium does have a named sponsor, but it is known by its original name (not the sponsor's).

phelan 11-23-2011 10:36 AM

Yeah, all of the Toon will still call it St. James' Park. Which is good.

But officially naming rights have been sold, and it is now SportsDirect Arena. Which is ********.

:iagree: But it is a way for the clubs to make extra $$. It does suck though... I'm a traditionalist. You wouldn't see Old Trafford being called "Virgin Airlines stadium". Sir Alex wouldn't stand for it.:ugh2:

phelan 11-23-2011 11:51 AM

Yeah you won't see Ashburton Grove being called Emirates Stad-

oh. dammit.

Red370 11-23-2011 03:39 PM

where the fvck does Alex Song come off thinking he's Ronaldinho? his ball control rating is in the 70's on Fifa.

RvP is a man on fire, holy shyt this guy is in some form.

last goal was total bs, stupid fvcking giveaway, kind of disappointed Gotze went off, wanted to see him play.

Dortmund edges nearer to an exit and I think Marseille will finish them off, Gotze, come to Arsenal.

Red370 11-23-2011 03:40 PM

wtf is going on with Chelski btw? worst form i've seen them in in 8 years.

phelan 11-23-2011 05:13 PM

Marseille got punked by Olympiakos. lol

Free lunch from a drunken Gooner at the pub? check.
2-1 over Dortmund? check.
Top of the group? check.
RVP scoring? check.
Chelski losing? check.
Barca losing? ...eh.

all in all, DAMN good day.

batman_4 11-23-2011 10:21 PM

Milan v Barcelona, great game. I am going to go out on a limb here and say we just watched the Champions League Final preview  :eekdance:

Red370 11-24-2011 03:34 AM

Kagawa continues to piss me off, bastard REFUSES to dispossess, wouldnt mine seeing him in the red and white along with the little german.

cow 11-24-2011 08:47 AM

Kagawa is REALLY ******* good. I didn't see him much last year after I jumped on the BVB bandwagon & started watching their games as Sahin had forced him out. (How's that transfer working out for you, Nuri?!)

phelan 11-24-2011 10:21 AM

i told you f*ckers he was crazy good.

blue660r01 11-24-2011 07:46 PM

May have to agree with this one
