Did you guys notice Arshavin's shirt as he celebrated? It had a picture of himself doing the "sshh" celebration with a giant "A" like he's superman.

Dude's nuts, but I like it.

phelan 02-17-2011 11:50 AM

http://a323.yahoofs.com/ymg/ept_spor...q7dkED2jbitayg

i want that shirt. that celebration was hilariously good.

it's nice to see him in a good mood after scoring a goal for once too

seems like the whole team has just gone bonkers after szczesny became the no. 1. cool!

amusing stat from arsenal-theoffside: our starting XI that just beat barca at their own game cost 39 million pounds to assemble.

andy carroll cost 35 million pounds to liverpool.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........................??? ???????????????

blue - nou camp is going to be one hell of a return leg, and yes the away goal can undo things in a heartbeat. but everybody acknowledges the grove, for one night, was an absolute fortress, regardless of how lame the stadium singing 'wonder of you' might be. the players responded very well, and it (it being the victory over FCB) instills in them the belief to go out and really compete for every trophy we can get. wish the grove was always like that, sometimes the naysayers get the better of the team.

make no mistake, there is no denying that barca are still overwhelming favorites to progress. i'm sure we pissed off little leo messi, and we know what he can do in the span of 90 minutes in the camp. but for now, we also know it's going to be a fight to the finish.

cow 02-17-2011 12:54 PM

If you can find that shirt for sale, let me know. I want one too.

Red370 02-17-2011 01:34 PM

im buying this one.

cow 02-17-2011 01:50 PM

I want one, but I'm not sure if it's too ostentatious for my tastes. Granted, last night I watched wearing a "CESC WE CAN!!" shirt.

phelan 02-17-2011 02:27 PM

?????? ??????? - ???????? - ??????????? ????

hahaha he's had it for a while

order it @ asc@arshavin.eu

haha, arsh is a total nutter.

cow 02-20-2011 10:07 AM

Fffuuuu. Just watched the FA Cup draw-- assuming today goes to plan, we're away to ManU next on the weekend of 3/12-13.

Barcelona on the Tuesday, then to Old Trafford. It doesn't get any easier.

cow 02-20-2011 10:35 AM

I'm really excited to see how Miquel copes.

cow 02-20-2011 10:38 AM

I want Rosicky to get a goal today. I really hope he gets back his confidence/ form-- he could be an important player if anything goes awry for our top guys.

Red370 02-20-2011 11:42 AM

Denilson has been garbage and against a lower division side, im thinking we need to let the boy go. And even though he hasnt gotten alot of games lately, Chamakh has been dreadful as well.

Red370 02-20-2011 11:43 AM

And Cow proves prophetic, Rosicky gets a goal.

cow 02-20-2011 11:43 AM

ROSICKY!!!!

With a header?

Fcuking Almunia.

cow 02-20-2011 12:19 PM

Great shot, but Jesus that should have been saved.

cow 02-20-2011 12:23 PM

Really awful tackling before the shot too. I couldn't see who it was (not the highest quality stream).

cow 02-20-2011 12:24 PM

Another fcuking match. God damnit.

Put out the reserves, Arsene. We don't need the FA Cup.

cow 02-20-2011 12:25 PM

This yellow kit seems to be bad luck.

phelan 02-20-2011 01:13 PM

almunia, F*CK OFF.

cow 02-20-2011 01:47 PM

The shot was right fkn at him. What an assh0le.

Red370 02-20-2011 03:11 PM

hence why he's been dropped to 3rd keeper.

cow 02-20-2011 05:05 PM

I would have stopped that shot & I'm certainly not Arsenal third choice good.

phelan 02-20-2011 06:53 PM

i'm not even good enough for nPower league teams, let alone a shite team like accrington stanley, but even i could've stopped that shot.

oh well.

in before future tapping up:
Arsenal agree deal for Barcelona teenager Jon Toral - ESPN Soccernet

phelan 02-22-2011 11:10 AM

there's word he would never have made it into barca's first team. also, his mum is british, he wants to move to britain, blah blah blah.

it's like...sorta like cesc i guess haha

barca are 'furious'...right, but i'm guessing it's just wordsmithing before we go and get spanked have our 2nd leg at nou camp nou

Red370 02-22-2011 01:15 PM

I'm going to predict a 1-1 draw, Puyol with a header from a set piece early, Messi out injured in the 30th, team morale diminished, we pull one back in the 65th via a 10 yard laser shot from the little Russian and/or a cheeky low driven cracker from Zidane's love child.

phelan 02-22-2011 03:52 PM

spuds got punked by blackpool

Red370 02-22-2011 07:45 PM

sure as shyt they did! Tangerines owned em, and 3-1, nasty, just nasty.

phelan 02-23-2011 03:48 PM

hey stoke, f*ck off you rugby-tackling c*nts

today's win feels like a loss. i hope cesc came off as a precaution, but theo looked in bad shape.

someone mentioned that's four arsenal players stretchered off against stoke, theo accounting for two, aaron obviously, and one other unnamed player. still, tony pubis can kiss my arse.

cow 02-23-2011 07:09 PM

Fcuking stoke scum.

cow 02-24-2011 06:46 AM

The most inventive bit of cheating you'll ever see on a football pitch - FourFourTwo's Inside Track - FourFourTwo

phelan 02-24-2011 10:48 AM

the ref must have blown his whistle in appreciation for that little bit of ingenuity.

i'm going to be absolutely gutted if cesc misses the CC final. not because the team needs his ingenuity, but because he's been so patient with the club, he gets a final, and he can't play in it. even worse if he misses nou camp.

fate's being rather cruel to the skipper, it seems.

phelan 02-24-2011 02:30 PM

and...that's it. cesc and theo out for the CC final. RvP, Kos, and Diaby return.

ugh...really feel bad for cesc now. maybe he'll get disgusted enough over missing one trophy (provided we do overturn a very fiesty brum team), that he comes out and drags the arsenal to a few other trophies so he can lift one up himself.

EPL is RIGHT there for him too.

phelan 02-27-2011 11:59 AM

knew it -_-

blue660r01 02-27-2011 03:05 PM

Wow no talk about Bayern beatiing Inter?

blue660r01 02-27-2011 05:27 PM

So sad THE Ronaldo hung up his boots

phelan 02-28-2011 10:40 AM

bayern beating inter isn't nearly as interesting b/c even UEFA sees Serie A falls behind the bundesliga. hooray for 4 german teams next year in the CL.

THE Ronaldo just couldn't keep fitness, but goodness, one of the best strikers that ever walked a pitch. Sad to see he retires completely out of shape, with his body betraying him. I was watching a youtube video with him and Remy Gaillard, he can still nail a free kick onto a dime if he wanted to, just can't keep pace with the game anymore. Credit for the memories though.

Wocjech :crying:

cow 02-28-2011 11:32 AM

I know you won't be happy about this, red, but that Bayern vs Dortmund match was amazing to watch from a neutral perspective.

cow 02-28-2011 11:33 AM

& did Arsenal play yesterday? I haven't heard anything about it.

Sahin MOTM by a long shot, wasn't he? That game was WIDE open. Robben tried to play, but Dortmund snuffed out all of the attacks down his side of the field because they crowded him almost instantaneously. Scarface just didn't have the same kind of effect.

Sahin >> Schweini in that game. That second goal he got was a thing of beauty.

Too bad Kagawa is injured, I was really hoping to watch that kid play against BM. The fact that Dortmund is THAT good, and he's still a revelation speaks volumes to his capabilities.

AT&T is a d*ck and took away GolTV and FSC+ from me  Hopefully I still get some good Bundesliga games in, esp when Kagawa comes back in April
