Mite as well put ELI next to Big Ben in those pictures above.

Ouch. Clady to IR. Sucks for Manning. Between that and the Pats lack of skill position players, if Houston gets a functional kicker we might actually win two playoff games in the same year for the first time. Unless Schaub schaubs the pooch.

Hopefully the Pats will have all their injured players back by playoffs time. We apparently lost Matthew Slater for several weeks with a wrist injury. Doesn't look like Gronk will play this week, but hopefully he will be back in week 4 to play against the Falcons. That's when we will really see how good we are.

Chuck33079 09-18-2013 12:38 PM

It's just wierd to see the Pats with so few weapons. They're usually better about that, although there's no way you can plan for Gronk getting hurt all the time, or Hernandez becoming a cockwarmer for Bubba in prison.

boarderbob 09-18-2013 12:41 PM

I wonder who will take the Chiefs/Eagles game.

Houston's secret is that if you take out our QB, we'll just get better! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Seriously, we have got to be one of the deepest teams out there right now. We've been plagued in the past with losing a few key people and it all falling apart. I think they've taken care of that this year.

What's interesting about this year is Kubiak is finally taking some risks, and not always going with the most conservative option. And for the first time in my football watching life, I'm excited my team signed a ******* punter. :rofl2:

Great trade for both teams.

How? Richardson was the only good part of their offense. If I were a Cleveland fan I'd be pissed.

Ted Bridgewater plus another first round pick? Browns are finally going to be able to rebuild. plus they are going to scab with mcgahee.

Yeah I don't think they ever thought it would be this bad. 2 rookie WR's starting wouldn't be as bad if they had Hernandez/Gronk and Amendola as well. On top of that, the running game has been pretty useless. The rookie pass catching TE that was supposed to help in the red zone also got hurt in the first game.

:iagree:

There's no guarantee that Browns will have the first pick though. They're still in a competition with the Jaguars for that honor and I think the Jags will take it. Browns are terrible without Richardson, but even then are better off than the Jaguars.

boarderbob 09-19-2013 07:54 AM

It's a brave move on the Browns' part. They're essentially throwing in the towel for the next one or two seasons. However, if they can draft a solid class they'll be in good position. Especially in their division.

Chuck33079 09-19-2013 08:02 AM

Back to square one in the rebuilding phase that began when the team was an expansion team. :rofl2:

Other than that one good year Derek Anderson had, have the (new) Browns ever been anything but an exercise in futility and suck?

boarderbob 09-19-2013 09:08 AM

Yes, they've been an automatic W for the rest of the NFL.

dennis26 09-20-2013 08:37 AM

Richardson couldn't stay healthy long enough to help the Browns. Next they need a QB that can be the true face of the team.

dennis26 09-20-2013 08:37 AM

Glad to see KC take out Philly. Good way for Reid to come back to town.

boarderbob 09-20-2013 01:04 PM

They did a good job of controlling the game, but when the opposing team gives up the ball that many times you need to come away with more points. It should have been a route. I'm sure they're happy to get the "W", but the lack of points from turnovers should be a concern.

Pats move to 3-0 and saw a lot of improvement from the rookie receivers today. Hopefully we'll see Gronk back in Atlanta next week

Gronk will be a nice flex play on my FF team :tiphat:

Ravens looked good today also.

defense looked good the whole game, we bent, but never broke.

our offense however needs more work. started off VERY slow. didn't get going until the 2nd half.

b1adesofcha0s 09-22-2013 06:34 PM

Colts with the surprising upset over the 49ers. Also surprised by the Dolphins beating the Falcons. Maybe there is a chance the Patriots will beat them next week :icon17:

My review of what I watched this week:

-the jets fought out a win from buffalo

-the giants seem to be getting worse week by week :ugh2:

-miami vs atlanta game was very entertaining though!

LMBmikeZ 09-23-2013 04:43 AM

seahawks/russel wilson - lynch combo are looking good!

Yeah he got pulled over and blew a .15 ...at 7am. He also had weed in the car. I will never understand why these dudes don't hire drivers.

b1adesofcha0s 09-23-2013 08:17 AM

Or use the free driver service the NFL provides.

jcosta79 09-23-2013 08:43 AM

Cowboys are 2-1.

That is all.

Haboob 09-23-2013 08:51 AM

We found a running game all of the sudden.

Albeit we played the Rams, but they haven't been all that bad this season (or last). I, for the first time in... I can't remember, wasn't nervous when Romo dropped back to pass either.

Our defense stepped up and played very well, aside from the stupid penalty that ruined the shutout.

Chuck33079 09-23-2013 10:21 AM

Looks like Houston is picking up right where they left off last season. Look alright against crappy teams, get beat down by the good teams. What a waste of a good defensive performance. Our special teams still suck, and the special teams coach is still employed for some reason. And Schaub derps it up again for another pick-6.

Didn't Payton retire back in 88? I think he coaches the Saints now.

b1adesofcha0s 09-23-2013 09:53 PM

He broke Brady's record for most TD passes through the first 3 games.
