Heck yeah!

m4a1mustang 04-15-2012 03:52 AM

Nico... such a :superghey: but I'm happy to see him win. Things are looking good for Mercedes!!! Very happy.

alcheng 04-15-2012 03:55 AM

Most exciting race in many years.

Feel so bad for Schumacher, it could be a 1-2 for Mercedes otherwise....

And Raikkonen, I think he broke the record of losing the most places in a single lap...... :eekdance:

m4a1mustang 04-15-2012 03:57 AM

Yeah things really got fun from p2 on back at the end. That's what happens when everyone is on tires that have fallen off like crazy. C'mon Pirelli... make it happen! They should slide around like that every lap.

alcheng 04-15-2012 04:05 AM

The tires are more like an on/off switch, it's either slot car or rally. The last 8-10 laps was somehow scary cos you never know will Nico lost the tires, you know, Mercedes...

m4a1mustang 04-15-2012 04:11 AM

They did really well on tires this race. They figured something out that's for sure.

shadoquad 04-15-2012 10:33 AM

I never thought Rosberg would win one... ever. I bet Keke's a proud papa.

Looks like Merc has the edge on RB for the moment. If Schumi finishes, it's probably a top 4 sweep

rambunctious 04-15-2012 12:04 PM

Just finished watching the race... Wow.. I was so suprised how close and paired up all the teams were. Kobayashi..wth happened?? Started up so high & then iceman at the end... Perez is impressing me more and more, but yup I didnt think Rosberg would hold onto pole position the entire time.

area3z 04-15-2012 12:09 PM

yea, that was horrible. he must have lost all grip in his tires.

but perez' attempt to block kobi was not cool at all.

area3z 04-15-2012 12:14 PM

how 'bout schumi being a great sport about rosberg's win at the end? he seemed genuinely happy for rosberg. that shows a lot of class. no hate like vettel's been showing last few races.

:iagree:

TreeSemdyZee 04-16-2012 08:30 PM

Yowsers. I'm just now watching the race. And they say there's no passing in F1. Wild race.

What have I been saying forever? When they adopt the NASCAR system of super soft tires that give up very quickly THERE WILL BE LOTS OF PASSING!

There needs to be ONE tire. And it should be SUPER SOFT. If it gives up after a handful of laps the drivers have to work very hard not to wear them out too quickly. Get them sliding around a bit and you have great racing like we saw in China.

:iagree: Take some downforce away and we're back in business.

area3z 04-16-2012 08:55 PM

Who's going to Austin in November? I'm pretty pumped about F1 coming back to the States. I went to the Montreal GP two years ago and Hungary last year. The sound these engines produce is out of this world.

haggomyeggo 04-16-2012 09:55 PM

What a race in china. I never stay up and watch live....I'm addicted to the dvr...
But what a race!!! The last 10-15 load were crazy good racing. Too bad for Kimi. Just couldn't make the tires last.
But I liked that button did well again. He is just so smooth. That pit stop killed him but I'm still not sure he would have caught rosberg.

So now that the Mercedes f-duct system has been deemed legal do you think all the teams are going to be working on them. Long break till Spain....

m4a1mustang 04-20-2012 03:07 PM

F1 is in Bahrain, whether you agree with it or not :icon14:.

Rosberg quickest in P2.

Should be an interesting weekend. I hope everyone stays safe.

GaleForce 04-20-2012 04:32 PM

I'm getting beat up in the F1 pool this year. Maldonado not finishing 2 races killed me... I like the racing so far this year. We'll also get to see how Vettel handles driving amongst the pack.

alcheng 04-20-2012 05:30 PM

Did anyone watch the practice? Turn 9 & 10 kills many drivers because the turn-in from 9 to 10, lots of them smoke the left front or over-shoot turn 10.

I bet qualify will be exciting, tonight.. yea...

GaleForce 04-20-2012 06:52 PM

I'm locking myself out of this thread because I have to wait to watch with my wife, won't be until dinner time Saturday to see qualifying.

alcheng 04-20-2012 07:01 PM

I will try to stay up to watch it tonight, I don't have a DVR :(

m4a1mustang 04-20-2012 07:20 PM

I'm just gonna wake up for it. :)

alcheng 04-20-2012 08:00 PM

See you tonight, Steve

:hello:

alcheng, are you awake? :icon17:

alcheng 04-21-2012 06:20 AM

Good morning m4a1 :hello:, trying to keep up , LOL

A typical Q1 so far

m4a1mustang 04-21-2012 06:21 AM

TERRIBLE strategy for Mercedes! Schumacher knocked out in Q1. Amazing. :shakes head:

alcheng 04-21-2012 06:24 AM

Schumacher

m4a1mustang 04-21-2012 07:40 AM

Red Bull appear to be back. Vettel on pole. Apparently Schumi was knocked out early because of a mechanical failure which kept them from getting the car back out to improve their time.

alcheng 04-22-2012 06:54 AM

Going to be interesting to see Schumacher works his way up.

m4a1mustang 04-22-2012 06:58 AM

:hello: alcheng. Good morning.

Yes, it's going to be an interesting race with all the degradation.

alcheng 04-22-2012 07:05 AM

Good Morning Steve, :tiphat:

It's not very sunny, going to be interesting on tires.

The start.. exciting.

m4a1mustang 04-22-2012 07:07 AM

So far so fun watching Schumi.

alcheng 04-22-2012 07:13 AM

Same as Raikkinen and Alonso, you can see the way they drive is different than the others.

Poor Schumi, if the race pace of the Mercedes could be better……… he could gain at least couple place a lap……

Massa Can't Drive

m4a1mustang 04-22-2012 08:12 AM

Shaping up for an interesting finish. I will probably miss the end since I'm trying to duck out soon and head to a local car show.

alcheng 04-22-2012 08:22 AM

Raikinnen is driving smart n saving tires, gonna be intetesting when close to the end.

DLSTR 04-22-2012 09:51 AM

Good race! Glad to see a mixed up season. What are you guys watching the race on. I have access to SKY and BBC thankfully.

alcheng 04-22-2012 03:45 PM

I stream the race through internet, Sky tv also, how they setup peripheral programs along the race is very nice.

I feel sorry for Schumacher, I believe he could achieve much more if he has a better car...

Four races four winner... :icon17: F1 this is so far so good
