That's a cool video...the seating position surprised me the most. My back hurts just looking at it. I had no idea it was that bad.

The race is LIVE now. I think they showed a qualifying replay early this morning.

I don't mind Speed coverage. They do alright for only having one person on the ground at all the races.

We'll never get more serious F1 coverage here, though. It's not popular enough. If the TX and NJ GPs are wildly successful maybe we'll get more serious about it if they can sustain for 10 years and we have an American driver or two. :icon17:

DLSTR 06-24-2012 08:59 AM

That was a great F1 race................

m4a1mustang 06-24-2012 09:00 AM

Incredible race! Podium for Michael!!!!

alcheng 06-24-2012 11:20 AM

Finally a podium for Michael!! How he defends his line against Webber was brilliant!! And the strategy works very well he passes people like crazy at the end.

Pity for Raikkonen that he wasn't fast enough to pass Hamilton, otherwise a win for him is likely possible....

Do you think Hamilton forces Maldonado out of the track first thus the incident or it's plainly Maldonado's fault?? Cos when Maldonado was completely off the track at the first corner, if it wasn't the run-off area but concrete wall, it will look like Hamilton force him onto it.... just saying....

m4a1mustang 06-24-2012 11:59 AM

Hamilton had the line. Maldonado blatantly turned into him.

alcheng 06-24-2012 03:01 PM

I feel bad for him, in fact, he could just wait for the next corner or so, cos Hamilton does not have any rear left at all, maybe that's the difference between experienced and not... :icon17:

m4a1mustang 06-24-2012 03:10 PM

Maybe. He does have a tendency to force the issue. I'm sure next time he'll be a bit more patient.

I hate to say it, but Hamilton should have been smarter and given way - he didn't have the tires left and he needed the points more than the position.

He should be driving smarter these days with his experience.

Give away?? Agree and Disagree, he's a race car driver.

I don't particular like him or not, but he's kind of right:

“I don’t know where I would have finished but my tyres were just gone,” Hamilton told reporters after making his way back to the paddock. “It was almost like I had flat tyres at the back of my car, but you never let people past. You have to fight for every position.” -- Hamilton, Post Race Interview

shaun66 06-25-2012 01:10 AM

Hamilton had the inside line for the corner, Maldanoldor should have given way.

wilsonp 06-27-2012 11:59 PM

I bet he would have finished in the points - and the way this year is going, they'll probably be valuable at the end.

In case you have not heard....sorry for the error in spelling.

I am very curious in the cause of the accident, seems she had finished the straight line test and was slowing down before the crash...

Titan1080 07-05-2012 11:27 PM

She had completed an installation run and was returning to the pit. The car's anti-stall might have resulted in a sudden acceleration as she was pitting, but I thought that system was supposed to disengage the clutch at the same time. From what I've seen of the reports, the truck was probably way too close to the pit area and she might not have had enough time to take corrective/evasive action. It's a shame her career had to end this way.

Did you all see the "paint" jobs on the Red Bulls? Individual pictures of everyone who has donated to their charity. Pretty cool.

Kinda drying a bit. Rain expected.

m4a1mustang 07-07-2012 07:03 AM

Rain in Q is interesting. Always makes for an unusual grid.
