I doubt that Charles binned it on purpose, but do not know for sure. Be that as it may, adding time for the others to get another lap in would make the most sense. Sh!t happens in racing. But you don't dumb down the field because the fastest guy crashed. What if Bottas crashed after Lewis did a pole lap, preventing Max from finishing faster? Is that to be penalized as a team? Too many ways to look at this. Too many conspiracy theories. Just get on with the job! |
