Don't forget to stop by at Covington so we can roll out with y'all...

I just updated the Original Post to include the revised BR meeting place...

By the way, I found 3 walkies in my stash of stuff... anyone else bringing any with them?

I don't think I'm going to drive to Covington... it's just too far out of the way.

If we are going to Avery Island... why are we going to Covington, then to Nola and THEN back towards Laffayette? That is a long way out of the way.

From my location to Avery Island is 2 hours.

If I drive from BR, to Covington, to Nola it is 2 hours

If I drive from BR -Covington - Nola - Avery Island + back home = more than 6 hours.

I'm about cruising around with you guys... but doesn't it make more sense to just have you guys meet in BR, and then we can meet in Laffy, then go south?

6 hours of driving is a little excessive... I'm just saying. That's like from here to Birmingham, AL.

David - you are free to do whatever you like. This is not mandatory for anyone.

Let me add: To me, this is about driving my Z around for the day and enjoying it. The Camaraderie of a whole lot of Z enthusiasts is another objective. Avery Island is not the objective, it is only a stop along the way. If you want to just meet us at Avery Island, then by all means just do so. We'll be happy to see you there.

Boudreaux Declares War on the USA

President Barack Obama was in the Oval Office when his telephone rang.

"Hello, Mr.President Obama," said a heavily accented Cajun voice. "
Dis' is Boudreaux, down here in Pierre Part. I am callin' to tell ya'll dat we declaring war on ya!"
"Well Boudreaux," Barack replied, "This is indeed important news! How big is your army?"
"Right now," said Boudreaux, "dere's myself, my brother-in-law Thib, my next-door-neighbor
Troy , and a few of his gator hunt'n buddies. Dat makes eight!"
Barack paused. "I must tell you Boudreaux that I have one million men in my army waiting to
move on my command."
"Wow," said Boudreaux.. " I'll call ya back!"
Sure enough, the next day, Boudreaux called again.
"Mr. Obama, de war is on! We got us some infantry equipment!"
"And what equipment would that be Boudreaux?" Barack asked.
"We got us two combines, couple of 4 wheelers, a pirogue, and Thib's John Deere.
President Obama sighed. "I must tell you Boudreaux, that I have 16,000 tanks and
14,000 armored personnel carriers. Also I've increased my army to one and a half
million since we last spoke."
"Lord above", said Boudreaux, "Be getting back to ya."
Sure enough, Boudreaux rang again the next day. "President Obama, de war is still on!
We got ourselves airborne! Troy fixed his ultra-lite wit a couple of shotguns in de cockpit,
and four vets from the VFW signed up!"
Barack was silent for a minute then cleared his throat. "I must tell you Boudreaux that I
have 10,000 bombers and 20,000 fighter planes. My military complex is surrounded by
laser-guided, surface-to-air missile sites. And since we last spoke, I've increased my army
to TWO MILLION!"
"Oh Lord," said Boudreaux, "Call you back."

Sure enough, Boudreaux called again the next day "President Obama! sorry to tell you
dat we done called off de war."
"I'm glad to hear that" said Barack. "Why the sudden change of heart?"
Well, sir," said Boudreaux, "we all sat down and had a long chat over a few beers, and we
'tink dat dere's just no way our wives can make enough gumbo to feed two million prisoners."
LOUISIANA CONFIDENCE CANNOT BE SHAKEN

If you are REALLY FROM LOUISIANA, you won't even need to be told to pass this on.
GOD BLESS LOUISIANA
HAVE A GREAT DAY!

No doubt... I just didn't really realize that is what the plan was. I'm all for hanging out and such, but I drive my Z everyday and I go to meets around Baton Rouge every week, not to mention when I drive home to seem my family when I can...

I drive my car enough already, but I enjoy hanging out and talking which isn't something you can really do when you're driving around all day.

Not to mention I'm a sissy and hate to put unnecessary mileage on my car.

So, what I think I'm going to do, is meet up with Stells and the guys in Laffy and then roll to Avery Island with them and meet everyone.

I'm also trying to get a few guys from work to join in.. they have really nice Civics.

I hear ya. My work-week daily drive of 7 miles to work and back is like an appetizer/teaser. Over the weekends, with the family, its usually the Titan or most often, the Altima. Although both are great fun to drive, they are nowhere near the exhiliration I feel when I am behind the wheel of the Z.

We'll see you at Avery Island then. Sorry to lose you on the treck there for sure, but glad you can make it nevertheless.

Also, we may have a G joining up with us at Clearview - waiting to hear back. They are friends of mine from work, previously owned (2) 350's, but went with a G this time around. They do appreciate a good car for sure.

Now... Civics...?

I'm not going to drive the wife's G8, her work switched her back to nights. She will be working friday night til 6am saturday and needs to sleep during the day. I'd love to ride with someone, but i don't won't anyone to go out of the way to bring me back.

Yeah - I know about Civics, especially the SI's. Lot of power in a Light Package... not good for a Z...

But if anyone is planning on going back on 90 past houma i can get a ride from the interstate exit. Just exit off and swing back on, 5 min detour at most.
