Driving around the strip really isn't that bad. I typically try to avoid the strip to avoid traffic, but that's just me.

I was there in jan and drove up and down the strip and took backroads when it was peak traffic hours

i would try to avoid saturday because it gets pretty busy there...might be less wait if we go on a friday

Sorry if the guy is your friend but that is just dumb parking on the roof. It's like screaming "steal my sh*t" since there's no other cars on the roof which means no foot traffic
