Thanks fellas, Kelly and I are always here to help, no matter what you drive. Working on a hood right know if all goes well, I'll be able to give you some vents on that Aluminum hood should keep engine cool as well.

Well consider me intrigued. Where are you placing these vents? If you say right behind the radiator to suck the hot air out as I drive, you'll be my new hero.

Thinking of this! Doesn't matter how many vents I put or were because the underside is getting a boxed in completely. I want to make 2 openings that the vents would draw the heat out from. Also helps with water and debris falling in engine bay as it would connect with the stock from part of the under hood and allow it to drain as needed. Also cleans up the underside of the hood.
I measured the hood and laid a line down the center to use as my half way mark. I plan on keeping the Vents in front of that 1/2 way mark. A few others on the forum did this with 2 vents and had good reviews. That area gets the most pressure to draw heat out. 70 mile hr with windows down and feeling the heat from the engine bay pass over the windshield is a good thing. ![]() Instead of strait cuts I'll use a slight curve and make each vent slightly wider giving it a nice look. Thread that inspired me: Vented hood thread Photo Gallery 1st day: Lines have been revised since these photo's: Nissan 370Z Forum - Nut_N_Much's Album: Hood
