Yeah, take it to Derek. He'll get you straightened out. I had a fouled throttle body on my Cougar some years ago and it had very laggy acceleration. Good luck.

That's weird, I wonder why a dirty throttle body would make the VDC light come on? I thought that came on only when it was something wrong with steering, traction, or braking. Let us know how it turns out!

well, like i said, when mine went into limp mode, the VDC light is one of the lights that came on. I believe it along with the other lights form a combination that pertains to a certain code. My limp mode situation was fixed by replacing one of my throttle bodies btw!

Mine is the standard size, I got it brand new off of a member here for a very good price. I don't notice a difference in the butt dyno, it adds maybe 4-5 hp, but when you blip the throttle it's much more responsive, and it smooths out the acceleration some. The standard size weighs I think 1.5lbs, and the stock one is 6.5lbs. Big difference. I think you'll like it. If you have any questions on the install let me know.
