At a minimum make sure both the positive AND negative battery cable connections are really clean, take a wire brush to the battery posts and the inside of the clamps, that's where I'd start.

Did the pedal ever go all to the way to the floor and not return, or does it act "normal" after you pump it a few times? Both of those are typical symptoms of the csc dying. Also, Id go for a z speed...

Its in the alerts section, called shift indicator I believe. I had to set it about 500RPM higher than I wanted it to start flashing, ie, set to 7900 to flash just before redline of 7500.
