Yeah it must have pin holed it somewhere and the heat just made it expand. I also have the csf but not the triple. So far so good on it not leaking but then again I don't track my car either..

Is it forced induction? I'm guessing it had to be causing it to over heat. With mine I installed a thermostat from a g37 that opens 10 degrees sooner than the oem for the z and went an oversized...

Why do you think the oem plenum is Plastic?? Metal is really bad for heat soak. Heat=less timing, Less Timing =power loss and efficiency.
Just get a drop in filter and call it a day..
