I meant that the 2011 camera system will plug and play with the 2010 harness, not the 2009. Exactly for your reason, that the 2009 works with the third party developers system but not the 2010.

Keep in mind the wiring harness for the 2010 and 2011 should be the same and that the harness for the 2009 is different and will therefore need another mod before this system will "plug and play"....
