If you're comparing how fast the vehicle is, why would you want to deliberately start that test at such low RPMs that are way below the powerband? 4th gear makes absolutely no sense IMO. At least...

Well, I was wondering about 2nd. If you're going to do a full pull, you'll probably be in the upper RPMs in 2nd when you hit 50 mph. So you'll have to shift to 3rd and then probably to 4th as well...

50 mph roll in 4th??? That's not going to work out well. IIRC, 90 mph is about the upper limit in 3rd gear with stock gearing (according to the FSM).
