If you are still looking you might consider purchasing the car ONLINE (maybe from a dealership in another state) and simply flying out to pick it up or having it shipped to you. $40k seems awfully...

I didn't actually pay that much in taxes, I did buy a security+ agreement on this car up to 75k miles which was most of that extra $$$.

I am in TX and got my 2010 Nismo 370 two weeks...

I am in TX and got my 2010 Nismo 370 two weeks ago in Dallas for 37k without TTL. It was about 38k OTD.

This was at Courtesy Nissan in Richardson, TX.
