Smile SRM-always on for me

I have tried driving with and without the SRM. It kind of annoyed me at first, but then I learned to work with it and have just left it on. It seems to help smooth shifts up and down. I really find...

Unhappy Chatter in first

This is not my first manual transmission. I drove a '92 Mustang GT w/ the 5 spd, '95 Z28 w/ the 6 spd and some Toyota 4wd trucks. This is the only manual that I have had a tough time leaving the line...

Smile Almost two!

I purchased mine on March 26th, 2009. 19,zzz miles and look forward to driving it every time. No mechanical issues to report. I don't want to drive any other sports car; this car just does it for me!

Smile "till the end"

"Till death do us part" and I truly mean that with this car. I have owned muscle cars, gt's and trucks. None of them truly "did it" for me until the Z. I do however miss the Charger R/T I traded in...

Smile I 2nd that!

I have a '09 370Z manual w/ the sport package. I do enjoy rowing through the gears, but sometimes it can be difficult to be smooth w/ this transmission vs the old Borg Warner T5/T56 trans. I used to...

Smile Congratulations!

Another good looking Z Sophia. I'd keep it stock, but that's just me. All the carbon fiber add-ons can make a car look tacky. The 370 has beautiful lines and the styling on the sport package models...

I agree

I have @ 17,xxx miles on mine (sport w/ manual) and the hottest I've seen the oil get was 235-240 cruising at 85mph in 100 degree heat. The temps range from 190 in the winter (35-55 degrees) to...

Infiniti G37X w/ the sport package

G37 and the 370 share the exact same platform. The Canadians can buy a G37X w/ the sport package (19 in. wheels vs USA 18 in.). I would like to have a G37XS 7 speed sedan w/ the Stillen supercharger....

Not the D word

Hey, Sorry to hear about your deal getting slammed, but that's one of those things about being married-no big financial decisions w/out the consent of both. He shouldn't have brought up the D word...

Vapor lock maybe?

It sounds like vapor lock to me, but then I'm only a "shade tree" mechanic. It has to be something to do w/ heat soak @ the fuel lines (sitting for 2hrs after being driven). It may even be a faulty...

All about the sales

I agree that most manufacturers are going w/ the platform sharing stategy. It's cost effective and the majority of the buying public doesn't seem to care as long as it looks good, is reasonably...

No grinding

I have a '09 Sports w/ the 6 speed and have not had an issue w/ grinding in the 16,xxx miles I've put on the car. It is a little stiff going into 2nd when cold, but fine when warmed up. I don't baby...

What a tool

This knucklehead almost bought it when he got on it w/ those low temps. All that power is just unneccessary on the street. If you're that concerned about being showed-up by someone in a faster car,...

I agree

I owned a '92 GT w/ the 5 speed and a '95 Z28 w/ the six speed. Both were fun cars and probably easier to live w/ day-to-day. The one thing that stands out b/t those two and the Z is that I also rode...

Smile Same here

I traded my 2006 R/T for a 2009 370Z MT base w/ the sport package. It was a nice torquey car, I was giving up riding sport bikes and the Z fit the bill. There's a black SRT8 in town and that thing...

Unhappy Tire vibration!

I am having this same issue. The 050s were stiff, but smooth. On good pavement it felt like I could run to the speed limiter w/ total confidence. Not so much now. The installer is someone who I've...

Broken locking lug

I had one of my locking lugs break just like this. Tires were being replaced by an installer that I've known and trusted for 20 yrs. I called to check on the progress and was told that one nut had...

Update!

I need to amend what I previously wrote. Just got back from a 1,300 mile flog on the interstate (@100 degrees-80/85 mph) and aggressive driving through tight mountain roads (elevation changes). Temps...

Back from the mountains!

Just wanted to update my experience w/ these tires. Drove @ 1,300 miles and was impressed w/ the compliant ride. It really helped to keep the car planted through mid-corner bumps and rough pavement....

No oil cooler. I don't intend to track it and don't want the worry of a hose/cooler failure. The high oil temp issue seems to be related to green engines and high ambient temps. Mine is thoroughly...

Smile 5w30 Amsoil

I have been using 5w30 Amsoil XL (7,500 mile oil) since the first oil change (3,500 miles). I could tell a slight increase in valvetrain clicking at first, but two oil changes later the noise is...

2006 Dodge Charger r/t, red w/ black and tan interior. Drove it 32,xxx miles and loved the torque (390 lbs/ft). Build quality was not what the 370's is. I miss that car. It was a big bruiser,...
