Exactly... "drop"! RCZ was talking about increase. By the way, the boost drop on your 350Z s/c is is pretty much a screw-type blower issue only as it is an air pump rather than a compressor.

Most probably because he did not want to run it into the rev limiter on boost and let off earlier. Since revs climbed significantly faster then without boost he probably cound't "time" it better.

And the parasitic loses of a s/c are always way higher then the losses due to backpressure increase by a turbo. Don't forget that otherwise wasted engery (in form of heat) is used to drive the turbo....
