Most probably because he did not want to run it into the rev limiter on boost and let off earlier. Since revs climbed significantly faster then without boost he probably cound't "time" it better.

And the parasitic loses of a s/c are always way higher then the losses due to backpressure increase by a turbo. Don't forget that otherwise wasted engery (in form of heat) is used to drive the turbo....

No, it's NOT dude... 5 psi might be harder to imagine, so lets go to 20 psi. A GT25 at 20 psi is far less "efficient" then a GT35 at the same psi. Efficient means, that on the same engine the GT25...
