It's a full seat-swap situation. The cooled seats have fans inside them and are completely separate from the AC system. They work pretty well. Mine stay on full all the time, now.

The antenna portion that you replace is an AM/FM antenna. The XM one is in the bulge it mounts on top of. In any case, my FM reception seems the same -- which is to say that it works fine. Not sure...
