Americans are fanatics about their cars. On roads and tracks across America, speed is king. Since we were young, we’ve been taught that it’s all about horsepower. But according to brothers Matt and Brad Baker and Japanese tuning masters like Kazuhiko “Smoky” Nagata, there’s so much more to it. Anybody can make a car more powerful. But the key is, will it be drivable? When the road from A to B curves, will it remain connected to it? These are some of the thoughts that went into the Bakers’ // Project: Mothra //.

Nice article. Great to see the Houston tuners getting some attention.

I couldn't agree more. In fact there is quite a funny show called Top Gear that demonstrated this very point. The took a GTI and put a Lamborgini V8 engine into it. Incredible power increase.... the problem was it just wouldn't corner under power. No matter how they tried, they couldn't make the thing not spin out under power on the race track.

So really, what's the point of having all that power if it just won't drive/corner?

Hence why (aside from the bullet holes in my wallet) I will be enjoying NA power for a very, very long time in my Z.

It looks absolutely amazing. The mods on it are best of the best. Thanks for sharing. If you like, you're more than welcome to create a journal for this car with pictures and such in our member's gallery section. You can update it from time to time.

Probably one of the nicest 370Z in the United States right now!

that looks sick!

Excellent performance parts might not come cheap but are worth every penny. The only problem with these amazing parts is noone in USA stocks them, the enthusiasts are forced to wait months before they enjoy them. I always imagined a great company, run by enthusiasts that caters to the community and generates growth within it.

It is always a breath of fresh air to see the a company doing it right. For this reason I support them 101%. Check out the FB page full of win!

Mothra was the first Z in USA to be fully supported by Powerhouse Amuse. Amuse wants more people in the USA to enjoy this kit, instead of worrying how inaccessible it is and how much it's going to dent your wallet. And yes you can buy it (and the other super cool JDM parts on the car) today from Baker Tuning.

The Vestito rear bumper is definitely extraordinary but does not take long for an enthusiast to fall in love with. In certain angles the rear/side profile gives out a little bit of that Porsche look.

You guys definitely need to do a proper photoshoot with this car
