Roadster in June Motor Trend compro

Did not fare well but consideriing the price of it's competition, maybe not so bad. The Boxster S winning was no surprise however, costing 20 grand more then the Z it is almost unfair. Would be like...

Castrol oils

Many have used Castrol for years in their BMW's and Porsche's but Castrol makes many diffferent oils with different formulas. Many in the German family of cars use Castrol Gold which, is a very good...

Good Read, Thanks

Learned much about the Z's. I had wondered how to disable the traction control or the ABS for the track. Just think how the times will be when the present and future generations of FI are used....

One last thing for the OP

When you said mobile extended, make sure you are talking about mobile 1 extended synthetic and NOT mobile extended service which is not synthetic but says it is good for 5000 miles. Again, there is...

As I said in my first reply, there are numerous opinions. In filters, I would also rate Mobil one extended and Amsoil filters as two of the best. The flow rates are not in question as in the Pure(the...

Understanding oil is a complex issue. I believe true PAO synthetics are 100% non dino oil if that is what you are asking. This would include some upper tier 111, IV and above oils however, not all...

According to Blackstone

The levels look OK for a new engine which, is what they said. Would be interesting to see the TBN but with less then then 1400 miles the oil should hold its additives. Will be interesting to watch...

Many feel the Cayman/Boxster are not "real" P cars however, except for less power, they will stay with the 911 in the corners or pass it. Porsche will never put equal power in the Cayman or Boxster...

How do you handle the loss of Torque? That is one thing that I think would be hard to get used to if you have driven a high torque V-8. This is what 'stang owners complain about when they drive the Z...

Orange Peel is present in all production cars. Apparently it is due to the EPA regulations and being more Green. The paints of years past did not cause orange peel but they were felt to harm the...

We will not know how they compare

until they go head to head. The buzz is that the new Mustang 5.0 will run over 70 mph in the slalom so it is two mph faster then the old 4.6. With those nuumbers and its over 420 HP, it could give...

I would assume that if your GReddy will fit then others will as well. I guess the structural braces were built into both the coupe and Roadster and what we see underneath is the same. Would love to...

Great sound.

Are there any problems with the installation of this exhaust on the roadster? Not sure if the roadster has any bracing that would make the installation difficult. I am on the fence between the...

Clean injectors before an oil change

The chemicals in most cleaners can seep into the oil and given that it breaks down oil deposits and such it can do the same to the oil. Many recommend that if used, it should be used a couple of...

I too have always been a Mustang fan and can see the advantage of the torque from a V-8. I also am impressed with the handling of the 370Z after a couple of drives. Both cars offer a good ride. The...
