Did not fare well but consideriing the price of it's competition, maybe not so bad. The Boxster S winning was no surprise however, costing 20 grand more then the Z it is almost unfair. Would be like comparing the Z to any car that cost 20 grand less.

Sorry, I did not and have not seen it. Since it was in the June issue I did not think it had been posted on. Anyhow, the opinion on the Z was subjective based on the looks and sound. Still don't see how it came in behind the BMW Z4 or the Audi even based on the article itself.

Their statement was certainly a bit ridiculous. The Z conv. may not be to everyone's taste, but it is not hideous by any means. It's got a unique look, just like the Z4 and TT conv. Are they hideous? I don't think so. Maybe 'avant-garde styling' would have been a better choice.
