I would think that you can pull the piece inside the pipe you are holding and epoxy it to the part left on the motor. Let epoxy dry 24 hours then use lubrican on both pieces before you snap them back...

I agree. 2-4kph on the high side is normal. Frankly 8-10 is too much in MHO. See if speedo can be recalibrated proding that you are sure tire height is per factory specs. Let know what happens.

Normal for high speedo readings

I agree and most cars read 2-4 km high on average. After that it's most likely tire height that is responsible. My 2016 is 2 kph high with a new set of Yokohama AS and was the same with the original....
