If you're looking for a prime in the 100mm range, I would suggest the 135L, it's one of canon's sharpest lenses and the bokeh it produces is amazing at f/2. Otherwise I'd suggest any variation of the 70-200L based on your budget. I shoot with the 70-200 f4 non IS, which is the cheapest one and I love it! Produces amazing portraits and still shots for car shoots
Many thanks, this definitely helps with my decision!

It's tough to find time to even get photos of him. I have so many creative ideas but to execute them always requires money that I don't have lol. I'm hoping we make it out to the USGP this year so I can get some track shots. I gotta step up to your level. Height would help too lol.

For those of you that don't have me on facebook, I did a couple shoots with some kids the last couple weeks. It's more difficult than older people, that's for sure. Baby Jaden doesn't smile much, so that was a challenge. And Rhyia was hyperactive so she wouldn't be still or listen at all lol. I'd be like look at me! and she would take off running the other direction, mom would have to go chase her down and drag her back lol. All in all I think it turned out well. I'd like to hear what I could do differently/better as far as composition and editing goes if you have any input...

I know this one I should have gotten her head all the way, but this was the only one I was able to snap like this and I liked it, so I just went with it.

Nice, looks like that could be useful lol. For the little little baby I had my wife right over my shoulder the whole time trying to get his attention. He was super serious most of the time.

Those are good specs, you should do pretty well with those. I wanted the F120s for my wife's Q but couldn't find any for sale and don't want to pay the full $5400 for just wheels. Ended up getting a set of Vossen's VPS 307s and some M7 coilovers for her instead.

I got the craigslist special. Guy mounted them To his Mercedes with adapters, obviously poked like crazy he took the. Off and they set in his garage for 4 months. I picked them up with new tires and covered in spider webs. And paid less than half price.

Not a scratch on them

I like all of the compositions and the subject matter, but if I were to "nitpick" I can only see two very small issues:

• Picture 1) There must be a blade of grass or something else clouding your son's left eye (your right). It makes that eye look duller than the other. This may be easy enough to Photoshop out. Other than that, I love the coy smile on his face.

• Picture 4) I am not a fan of the tree in the background right between your wife and son. Although it is far enough away and out-of-focus, to me, it distracts you from the two subject's beautiful faces.

Sometimes you have to take a picture at the "spur of the moment" to capture the scene, so there may be nothing that could have been done beforehand. Still, I love any type of photography and keep up the excellent work.
