cool^ hard to tell what it is tho, you almost need to zoom way in and see if you can tell what it is

Titan1080 06-21-2012 12:58 AM

Need a telescope with a fairly fast tracking mount or a fast high end CCD camera to be able to resolve any detail of the ISS. But it's possible, one of my old Astronomy mags has a picture a blackbelt amateur astronomer took of the ISS with the Space Shuttle docked!

HKYStormFront 06-21-2012 03:37 PM

hmmm... :challengeaccepted: :bowrofl:

Got a "Baby Boomer" from Buff to tide me over until I got a proper boom stand for lighting hair. It still didn't allow me to turn my beauty dish downward enough, so I tweaked it a little with a vise and a large adjustable wrench.
Much better now, minus the bite marks from the vise :ugh2:

So I was reorganizing my camera bags after a weekend trip when I realized I had the right bits to do this. Not sure how useful/practical it would be though!

Awesome HDR!

I just picked up my 5D Mark III and I'm still confused on all the abilities that it can do!

I'll post up some pics/videos when I get a chance... that HDR feature is killer!

HKYStormFront 06-29-2012 03:57 PM

damn number 2 is nice!

FrancoPhoto 06-29-2012 04:27 PM

Wow for straight out of the camera that's pretty cool

vividracing 06-29-2012 05:36 PM

I'm considering switching to Canon for a 7D. Maybe I'll save longer and get the 5D-III.

Yeah right.

Do it. My poor 7D is just a dust collecting backup now, and I haven't even tried most of the fancy new features of the 5D.

um........ this is not that kind of thread lol :wtf2:

LunaZ 09-04-2012 08:42 PM

A friend of mine is leaving our booming metropolis of Harrisburg, PA and moving to NYC. Her girlfriend already has a job there, but she's hoping do get some work modeling to supplement her waitressing. (or is that the other way around? LOL!)
She's always been a willing participant in my hair and photography adventures, so I decided I would make her a comp card as a going away present. It may not be the standard set of images, but she's so versatile with her looks that it was hard to narrow it down to a head shot and 2-3 other poses.

LunaZ 09-06-2012 09:21 AM

I had an Ah-Hah! moment last weekend...
As I was taking a road trip to Western Pennsylvania via some very scenic back roads, I saw all sorts of amazing vistas and an ever-changing sky.
I pulled over to take a picture, but was disappointed. The detail, contrast and colours I saw while driving did not translate through my camera.
I put my camera back in its bag, slid my polarized sunglasses back on my face and put up my lightly tinted window and suddenly, that picture I wanted to capture was back.
At that moment, it became clear to me what all this talk of filters is about.
