Where on their site did you read that? I didn't have to do any mods for install...

On the 370Z rear bumper fascia, behind the rear emblem near the left and right edges, are two (one per side) non-critical small "nipples" for positioning of the factory emblem. These can be trimmed before installation simply (a small knife or razor will work fine). Please call if you have any questions on what nipples are."
