Jack would you be willing to provide us with what ever information was given to you? And maybe testify in a federal court if needed be? Which I highly doubt. Just a worst case scenario. It usually requires over 10000 dollars but 3000 thousand might get looked at.
All I can do is bring this up. I can't garuantee anything. F.y.I. putting peoples information out on a public forum is not a criminal offense. So let w.o.w. do his thing. ;) Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2 |

Name i am seeing is:
He is using a fake name. DMYTERKO, DON 1060 3RD ST N BRANDON, MB R7A 2M7 Phone: (204) 726-5135 |
Wow awesome :O
I see why they call you W.O.W. now haha. Since I sent through paypal, I believe I won't have to resort to federal court (I hope?), but if it comes down to that as being what stands between me and getting my money back, yeah I would. As long as it doesn't conflict with my midterms and finals. I'm definitely fine with providing all the info I got, but it seems like W.O.W. got everything. Amazing |

Thanks! I've sent all of this information to Paypal. This should lead to a pretty easy decision for them.
|
So when paypal reverses a payment, do they pull it from his account too?
|
I would think they do. I've heard of sellers getting screwed by dishonest buyers.
Reading more into the toptierimports thread: "The address belongs to a Don Dmyterko He passed away, (RIP) in 2011, had a Wife named Sandra, and two daughters Shawna ( Jon ) and Tina." So apparently he lives with his girlfriend's mom. And he goes by Kris Hope around town. And he's on a trip to Mexico with his girlfriend Tina. They call him Quaz (Quasimodo) https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/tm...TipIDaNQs=s600 http://distilleryimage4.s3.amazonaws...0a9f3c25_7.jpg |
Can't believe I vouched for this guy.....:shakes head:
|
I think we have a legit troll face in the flesh right there.
Edit: I'm pretty sure he's on that trip to Mexico off the backs of everyone he ripped off |
what an ugly piece of sh!t
also Brandon, MB is a far way from Niagara Ontario :shakes head: |

Oh man, according to another forum the brakes he sold you he stole from another seller! |

Surprisingly, the rightful owner is local. :tiphat: |
Just wow man... If he wasn't in Canada I would seriously be willing to go over there with a few people and serve up some old fashioned justice. This isn't a matter of a few hundred bucks, we're talking tens of thousands of dollars at a time that he's screwing people over for. What a douche.
I survived Zdayz 2013... (barely) |

Basically this guy is trying any and every scam in the book as far as car parts and car sales go :shakes head: shaddy mother fucker In my area people have been beaten, tied and left naked/in underwear out in the middle of the bush/cornfield for less...........and I am not joking it could have been for as little as a 1/4 of that kinda $$$ |
I am surprised AK hasn't came in here yet.
|
Im not sure if I posted in here or not but I have been following it since day one. I knew this was a scam by the title, HKS TT Kit......only one and I doubt this douche has it.
Hope all parties get taken care of in the proper ways...... |

Posting classified threads should be more strict. Seller should have to be premium members, certain number of post count, a certain registered date etc.

True. Def a pic with the item and username is a great idea also. I have bought a few things from members haven't got burned yet.
Well I take that back EVO-R have yet received my diffuser. |
Figure a IP addy would un-cover alot of information about a person. They track your IP addy on this forum.

well if that is the case why didn't the MOD step in and give him the option to post a pic with the item or delete the post.
I don't know if it is required. But if it is not it should be. |
It looks to be one of those things that's "required" but not enforced.

Personally I set my own rules and do my own due diligence. Things I look for when purchasing include, but not limited to,
If these simple things are not met, I won't give the item a second look. I realize this doesn't help with the current situation but maybe it will help going forward. |

I am trying to understand what happened here but I'm not quite sure. He wasn't replying to your pms and he didn't post pictures of the item right away as you've asked (he said that he will post them the next day or later) but you still paid him? Why in the world would you pay for an item when a. He is not replying to your Pms and b. he didn't post pictures as he promised? I mean I'm not trying to be hard on you but on what ground did you make that payment? what went though your mind that made you think "let me just pay this guy since he isn't replying to my pm or posting the picture of the kit as he promised". Is this your first purchase on forums? This isn't a pair of springs, it's a turbo kit. How can you send money without even looking at the turbo parts or the condition of the parts or even to make sure all the parts are included? You need to file dispute asap if he is not replying to your pm. I updated his inbox so that he can get all pms. I will not pay $3 to someone who isn't replying to my pm or not keeping his part of the promise (posting the pictures). I can have the world toughest classified rules but that will still NOT protect you from getting scammed if you send someone money blindly (without thinking) I will add the new classified rules (ver. 2) end September or October. It will have different requirement for items with various prices. I'll try to post sooner. Until that's posted, you just have to take extra caution when you buy stuff. If you see a post that needs picture, ask for picture or report the post. Me or mod can chime in and ask them for picture (it's a requirement when we ask). Also, DO NOT EVER pay any money as "gift" via paypal trying to save couple bucks. Pay using proper paypal protocol (money sent for "goods") and this way you can dispute if necessary (you cant dispute 'gift" payments). If the prices are too good to be true, it probably is. Walk away. Do not purchase anything without talking to the member first. If he doesn't reply or fail to provide you info, pic etc via pm/email, walk away. Know the signs of whether something is fishy or not. Not sure? send me a pm. I get pm all the time where member ask me" AK what you think of this sale? should I buy?" I give them my honest input (or chime in to classified asking proper info). Just by taking small precautions, you can SIGNIFICANTLY lower your chances of getting ripped. DarkJak, keep me posted about your pm exchange with OP. |
I've been watching this post for a while, but I didn't want to throw accusations. This whole think smelt of a scam right from the get go. I mean $3k twin turbo kit? made by HKS? thats never been released?
I suggest we do the pic rule like the rest of the forums do. Every item you list for sale have to be photographed with your name and date, or instant deletion. |
Yea it was real fishy. darkjak knew what he was getting in to and took the risk.
