I do love the overlay, and I will rep as soon as it will let me. I think I did a half-a$$ job on the install, though. I was mad that night and just needed to step away from the bs for a bit, and this was my out. Even with the half-a$$ install, it looks way better than stock

I just wanted to mention that the overlay arrived. And earlier than expected. Thanks. Rep sent.

Got my overlay, earlier than expected. Rep sent.

Followed the DIY videos to install and ran into issues....no matter how I laid the thing down and nudged it into place I can't get the overlay lined up properly. Every see thru area is slightly misaligned. Is this common for other people?

It's not the end of the world I can take a sharpie and touch it up a bit once everything is dry, but I'm wondering if the temps outside play a factor in shrinking/expanding the overlay slightly.

Even still it's worlds better than looking at the big silver circle in my dash. Thanks Simota!

Yes the overlay is very close to being perfect but mine is not spot on but you can't notice it unless you are shown it.

I had issues as well and ended up junking it. Oh well. Some people have better luck than others.

this is common... most people just touch it up with a sharpie but with all the fellow z members that have seen the overlay in person here locally no one ever told me it was off.... only when i mentioned it they were like "o yah right?"

No worries I expected it to be a little off as I've seen pictures from other people who installed it...the temp "C" is what stuck out at me mostly from other people's pictures so I was prepared to break out the sharpie.

I was a little weirded out that everyone else's install seems a little more...even... than mine. For example, none of the 5 hash marks just above the fuel indicator line up properly on my overlay. If you get the left side perfect the right side is way off, if you get the right side lined up it's vice versa (obviously), but if you line up the center hash mark all four of the other marks are about halfway off the indicators. Bizarre.

I'll touch it tomorrow and then leave it alone for now. If worse comes to worse I'll just get another one since the price is right and I am never going back to the silver look!
