I figure 8-10k would be the price of an aftermarket kit + install..

Even at 4k or 5k, I would still be dissapointed in the price point, not the performance mind you. I just really feel like if a car company would produce a vehicle with ~260hp for around the 24k-26k range, we would have an amazing winner of a car.

The S15 was never sold in the U.S., but the MSRP of a 1998 240SX was $18,349. Adjusting for inflation that puts it at $35.3K in 2012 dollars

(according to the converter here: Inflation Calculator: Money’s Real Worth Over Time | Coin News)

In contrast, the MSRP of a 2006 300ZX was 37,439 which would make it a 70K car today.
