That happened to one of my coworkers a few years ago, but he lived in a bad neighborhood and had really expensive/flashy rims on his Mazda. The thieves weren't as kind and just dropped the car on the ground, which significantly damaged the rotors and suspension. It also looks like from the photos that there are only 4 lugnuts at each wheel. I'm guessing the locking lugnuts were of little deterrent to the crooks.
