I bet it is a magazine/publicity shoot of some kind.

Is Michigan where the mail HQ for Alfa is? I ask as I see some photo journals past and present that show spy shots of cars with Mi plates, so curious to be honest.

Fiat owns Alfa, and Fiat owns Chrysler, and Chrysler is out of Michigan. So Michigan plates

Alfas were a renowned turd of a car when I was growing up as was fiat. Funnily enough my dad owned a Fiat 132 1800GLS rust and clutch cable issues galore. Solid engine though.

In your neck of the woods, I thought you could not be a gear head without Alfa ownership.

It is the Italian steel that fails these cars too.

I saw 4 more 4C's in the same place the next day only two cars could be the same as two other colors were seen. It was foggy both days so publicity photos may not work out. Maybe I'll see them again today, although it is still fogged in.

The only Alfa I liked was the GTV6 back in Europe. Again, electronics nightmare and rust bucket.

The car was announced for American release a few days ago and American-spec cars are now being test driven, beginning in California.
